Class Description:

In this class you will learn techniques to sew stretch/knit fabrics on your domestic machine.

So many tips and tricks will be provided to help you sew stretch/knit fabrics effectively on your domestic machine.

You will learn how to identify stretch and knit fabrics and their suitability for different garments styles.

You will learn how to select and read a pattern, the correct pattern layout on your fabric as well as cutting and marking.

We will explore different stitch options and machine settings on your domestic machine and discuss the selections of needles and threads best suited for the project.

The focus is on the techniques required to create stretch/knit garments with professional neck, edge and hem finishes as well as how to achieve very stretchy seams without the use of an Overlocker.

A girls dress pattern and a unisex t-shirt pattern will be available in sizes 2 – 10

You are welcome to bring a pattern of your own choice. However, please make sure the style is simple and to have it traced off and ready for use.

Please call me if you need guidance. Anette 0407083170
